Tot 1885 stond deze wijk bekend als Santana di Commandeursbaai. Later veranderde de naam naar Santana San Hose, zoals het gebied vandaag bekendstaat.

In the garden of Wit-Gele Kruis Savaneta, visitors can find two graves that have been officially recognized as protected monuments. These graves are the resting place of Jose Vicente de Cuba and Carlota Suarez.

Until 1885, this neighborhood was known as Santana di Commandeursbaai. Later, the name was changed to Santana San Hose, the name by which the area is known today.
